Bianco di San Lorenzo

Description
Bianco di San Lorenzo is a blend of Inzolia, grape indigenous to Sicily, and Incrocio Manzoni, grape indigenous to Northern Italy but cultivated in our vineyards, where the temperate climate and proximity to the sea encourage this wine minerality and intensity.
The name Bianco di San Lorenzo is a reference to an Italian Saint Festival, San Lorenzo’s night, which is held on the 10th of August every year. During this time of year, the Earth crosses the Perseid meteor shower, which is why this particular night is also known as “the night of the shooting stars” and explains why there is a constellation drawn onto our label. Furthermore, by the 10th of August, typically, the two grape varieties that are blended into Bianco di San Lorenzo have already begun their harvest and are fermenting. To celebrate, Cantine De Gregorio holds a huge party every year, thanks to which Bianco di San Lorenzo has become one of Cantine De Gregorio most popular and requested wine here in this area.
Recommended food pairing: fish-based dishes, especially seafood, tuna and calamari.
