Magarìa Rosso

Description
Magarìa Rosso (or Red) was the very first wine produced by Cantine De Gregorio back in 2002.
It’s the red twin of Magarìa Chardonnay, hence the same label and name, which means “witchcraft” in local dialect, meaning the product is intended to enchant who tastes it.
Magarìa Rosso is a blend of Nero D’Avola, prince of red Sicilian grapes, together with our best selection of International red grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tannat. It is thanks to this blend of different grapes that the wine is so complex, however the production process is what truly determines its grace and full-body quality.
It refines for 24 months inside 25 HL oakwood barrels, and yet another 24 moths inside the stainless-steel tanks. To finish off, it should spend at least 6 months inside the bottles before being open.
The result, wholesome and complex just at the right point, is so exquisitely elaborate that the first scent that comes out once the bottle is opened is dark chocolate.
Best pairings for Magarìa Rosso range between red meat, game meat, dry cuts, spicy dishes and, in some special occasions, even chocolate-based desserts.
