Rosa di Nero

Description
Rosa di Nero is a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Perricone, two grape varieties typical of Sicily and historically cultivated in this area. They share fruity and floral notes, which are further enhanced when the two grapes are blended.
On the nose, as soon as the wine is swirled, aromas of red fruits, cherries, and spices such as black pepper and juniper emerge. Mineral hints and a lively acidity reflect the terroir and contribute to the wine’s overall balance.
The name Rosa di Nero means “Pink from black” in Italian. It refers not only to the use of red grapes, but also to the colors of the Palermo football team, of which Mr. De Gregorio is a passionate supporter.
Food pairings: fresh cheeses, grilled vegetables, white meats, and grilled fish.
